Camp Description
Elite University Summer Camps – Camp Steiner Ranch is proud to partner with XLR8 Ranch for equestrian education! This is an adventure-packed, field trip based, camp. Horseback Riding Camp includes three days of horseback riding and equestrian education with professional guides at XLR8 Ranch. Campers will be bussed to XLR8 Ranch to be fitted for their horses, review safety training, learn riding skills, and participate in a trail ride. Field Trip student-teacher ratios are 10:1.

Riding and Lesson Schedule
- 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM CHECK IN / LOAD BUS
- 8:00 AM LEAVE FACILITY TO SPICEWOOD FARMS
- 9:00 AM ARRIVE / CHECK IN / SPLIT INTO AGE GROUPS
- 9:30 AM SAFETY TRAINING: DEMONSTRATION AND ACTIVITY
- 10:00 AM GROUP RIDING SESSON
- 11:00 HEAD COUNT & LOAD BUS
- 12:00 PM ARRIVE BACK AT CAMP
- 12:00 PM LUNCH
After lunch ALL campers will be placed into age groups and will participate in counselor led activities.
- 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: ARCHERY • INSIDE GAMES • ART
- 3:00 PM – PARENT PICK UP BEGINS
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM LATE EXTENDED DAY & PARENT PICK UP
Archery Activity Description
Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. Campers will learn the skill of archery under the supervision of a trained professional. Campers will be split into age groups and be taught: history of archery, cultural significance around the world, and overall safety.
